Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of a biannual physical examination. Remember, our pets age faster than we do, and they don't always express pain or discomfort. There are several reasons for this, but the two most important ones are: 1) Your pet can't talk; and 2) Survival--in your pet's mind, it's still a wild kingdom, and the weak link traditionally becomes food for someone else. That's why thorough check-ups and preventative care are so important. They can detect and help alleviate serious health problems.
